  • “We spent an afternoon with our 6 year old daughter and had a wonderful time enjoying the mineral pool on a cool Andes day. The customer service was very good and we had a very relaxing time. Next time we will do a spa treatment! I believe this is a much better choice for our family…”

“…we decided to stay one night in “Hosteria Duran”, I was impressed with the quality luxury hospitality in the beautiful city of Cuenca “Cultural Heritage”. The delicious breakfast was included as a complimentary amenity, the thermal pools having an average temperature of 38 degrees Celsius, Turkish Baths natural steam and private baths; to dive into the warm waters we received the benefit from its soothing and healing properties.

In “Hosteria Duran” Mr. Rodrigo Gutiérrez assisted us and addressed to the “Spa Thermal NovaQua”, this was another amazing and relaxing experience. The waters of life are emerging from the depths of the earth. “Novaqua Spa” resort is having magical healing powers that may free you from stress and regain the most important for a person, the health. My husband and I did the thermal circuit starting with the Thermal Pool, Contrast Baths (hot & cold) Turks Thermal Steam and Volcanic Mud over the whole body.”

  • “We have a 6- and 8-year old, and this was a great stay for the whole family: great hiking for dad, lovely spa for mom, heated pool for kids, excellent restaurant and fabulous breakfast buffet that we all enjoyed. Hosteria Duran is 20 minutes drive (in your own car) from the National Park El Cajas – AMAZING hikes, but be prepared for cold, rain and mist. But seriously worth it for its Lord of the Rings-like landscape. The spa is a couple blocks away, but a very, very easy few minute walk up the hill from the Hosteria itself. Our kids could have spent all day in the warm (but not jacuzzi hot) pools. To be honest, I run cold, so didn’t go in very much, but I did love the 42C degree contrasting pools at the spa. We didn’t even get to the “kids” pool with the water slides (toboganes) that is located across the parking lot, we were having so much fun at the warm pool at the Hosteria itself. In addition, nicely kept grounds with a playground was also really nice for the kids to roam…”

“Recommended by a friend, my husband and I decided to visit this little gem just outside the city of Cuenca. We couldn’t have asked for a better Honeymoon. The service was excellent. The waiters and staff were so welcoming and helpful. We only stayed for two nights, but it was just long enough to relax and enjoy the facilities. During our stay, we enjoyed a swim in the pool, where the waters were lovely and warm. The restaurant served a delicious selection of food, which was followed by excellent prices. I would definitely come back again.”
